Love Food Hate Waste Cooking Sessions

Today I conducted a cooking session for Love Food Hate Waste in Barwell. It is part of my volunteering work with LFHW

We shared information about food wastage and how to avoid wasting food. This actually translate to a saving of £50 to £60 per family if we were to be more careful about handling storing food properly.

This week’s message is on Lovely Leftovers. So we cooked Rice Porridge and Simple Fried Rice Malaysian Style. We also cooked Fried Leftover Pork and Chicken.

The participants enjoyed the food and they did cook very well, bearing in mind that this was the first time they really cooked  Chinese/ Malaysian. Well done.

I will share with you the recipes later in the week. So If you are shopping , be mindful about the food you by and plan before you shop.
