My airline lunch, blah.
It has been a while since I last blogged. I was travelling, and busy meeting up with old friends and catching up. I have been away for a few years so it it good to be back.
My flight to Kuala Lumpur was nothing to shout about. Went to Schiphol, Amsterdam then to Guanzhou, China. then to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The lunch was edible and the fruits was not fresh. It was already brown and not crispy. The Pork with rice was so-so. the next meal I had was noodles with pork. The third meal was chicken with rice. The meals all taste the same!!!
I wasn’t able to buy extra luggage space, so I just pack up to what is allowed. This means I have to leave behind some clothes and presents as there were requests from family to buy certain things. From the terms and conditions of the flight, I could see that they charge a lot for excess baggage. Just as well, I met some travelers who have flown before with China Southern Airlines, and confirmed that, indeed, they do charge a lot for excess baggage.
If you are looking for cheap flights to the East, this is cheap. Just do not expect superior service. Service is basic.
When I reached KL I had a rest and we ate out as usual in the ‘Tai Chow’ meaning ‘Big Fry”, referring to the big flames that is necessary to give the cooking ( frying with a wok) its unique taste.
Kangkong Belachan ( Ung Choi)
You can get kangkong in some supermarkets in UK, like Tesco and Asda, and of course in the oriental supermarkets.
So these are the food so far.
I am spacing my consumption so that I will not put on too much weight.
I will be blogging about some more food and places which I feel interesting.
So far some food are non nondescript, blah, and some are nice. I will try to concoct up the dish when a go home.
Enjoy!!!
If you would like some recipes, let me know and I will try to get it from the chefs!!
