On the last day of our recent break, we decide to visit Strutts North Mill in Derbyshire.
We set off early, we leave the B & B at around 9am. Upon reaching the place, it is not open until 11am. Dang! I should have been more careful about the opening times. So we decide to drive to the local town, Belper for a walk. The town looks really nice and we walk to the town centre. There are the usual shops – mostly franchises.
After that, we walk back to the car, and decide to go the East Midlands Designer Outlet.
Upon reaching the place, we park the car and went the shops. The place is nicely laid out, no high-rise buildings, and it looks cosy.
Our first stop is the Nike 0utlet as my daughter needs to buy some trainers and walking shoes. We then browse around the area. There are many designer outlets, 2 cook shops, and many selling clothes, cosmetics, etc. I bought a set of salt and pepper mill and some make up. My daughter bought quite a number of things.
Overall, the place is nice and well organised. We then have our lunch is the food court. There are quite a number of food outlets there. There is even a Chopstix noodle bar, which is my other daughter’s favourite outlet for Chinese noodles in the services. After having lunch, we then went home, having had a good time off, and some retail therapy.
I am not one who spends a lot on designer stuff. But I do enjoy this place. It has cheaper designer goods so it is perfect for a frugal lady like me.I will certainly visit again and will probably do my year-end shopping there.
That is the short break that we had in summer. Where have you been so far this summer? Are there any gems that you think I should visit. Do let me know!
That’s all for the time being and do share and like my post by clicking on the social media icons.
